What We Believe

We believe and teach among others that:

  1. The Holy Bible is our sole authority in matters of faith and doctrine. It is the inspired Word of God written by men led by the Holy Spirit.
  2. There is only one living and true God who is the maker and supreme ruler of the heavens and the earth.
  3. Our Supreme creator and ruler who is God revealed Himself as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
  4. Jesus Christ is the revealed Son of God who is the second revelation of the God head and is God who came in the flesh, suffered, died and resurrected and He is alive forever more.
  5. The only way to God the father is through Jesus Christ. Anyone who acknowledges his/her sin and accepts Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and personal Saviour shall be saved and have eternal life.
  6. Man is created in holiness but by his own will fell into sin and out of harmony with God and is without hope in his sin.
  7. Salvation of sinners is wholly of God’s grace through the work of God’s Son Jesus Christ.
  8. God is sovereign in the election and salvation of all who believe in His Son. He saves and regenerates sinners and sanctified believers.
  9. Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit by which we are set apart from the world and are made partakers of His holiness.
  10. Anyone who has professed faith in Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit, who is the third revelation of the God head, dwelling in him/her
  11. The church has only two ordinances – believer’s baptism (not infant) by immersion in water and the Lord’s Supper as commanded by Jesus Christ.
  12. We believe in the right of others to be wrong and so we do not persecute those that do not believe in the only way to God through Jesus Christ. We only plead and persuade them to believe.
  13. Jesus Christ is the supreme head of the church.
  14. By virtue of our relationship with Jesus Christ, priesthood and competency of the soul to approach God directly through Christ is granted every believer. While recognizing Christ as the High Priest and only mediator between God and man, the believer is a priest for himself and others. This does not minimize the role and function of ministers of God, but affirms the fact that besides Jesus Christ Christians need no other to gain for them access to God or make His power available. As a priest, every Christian can "Come boldly to the throne of obtain mercy and find help in time of need."
  15. All Christians should obey the civil government except when it opposes the will of God as revealed in the scripture.
  16. Prayer is communion and fellowship with God through which a Christian listens and talks to God. Prayer is also the spiritual blood of all Christians. When this spiritual blood is not flowing the Christian is dead spiritually.
  17. The world will be brought to a final end by God at His own time and in His own way. The time this will happen is known only to God Himself. At that time Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in His glory, the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all people in righteousness. Those who have rejected Christ will be sent to HELL FIRE while those who have by faith received His righteousness will reign forever with Christ in their resurrected and glorified bodies.
